Hi everyone!

This post will FINALLY address a very important question that I have been receiving over the past few months. I’ve already spoken about it in a less public manner, but I can now give you an official statement to the following question:

“What is the release date for ReAwakened?”

ReAwakened (Angel Creek, Book II) will be available for purchase on Amazon as both a print book and an e-book on November 27th! On that same date, you will be able to find it on B&N and Kobo in e-book format as well. For the first two days, both books will be sold at a special release day discounted price. Hooray!

Mark your calendars! Tell your friends! Heck, tell your neighbor’s dog if it will help spread the word!

Originally, I really wanted to publish ReAwakened on November 20th – exactly nine months after my firstborn, ReVamped, came out. However, after much deliberation, I’ve decided to take an extra week of “padding time” to ensure that the book will be as perfect as it can be before it reaches your hands.

To tell you the truth, I’m a bit OCD when it comes to both my work and dates. There was something a tiny bit magical about the 20th release date lining up so nicely with the previous book’s release date (I know, I know, call me crazy). However, I think that an extra week of time (and not worrying about the calendar!) will benefit my readers in the long run. I want to make certain that the book is perfect, that every “i” is dotted and every “t” crossed (and hopefully not the other way around), and that people have some time to let the release day date sink in.

When you crack open ReAwakened (or download it on your e-reader), I want you to be very happy with the product that you’ve received. I strive for quality work in everything that I do, because my readers mean the world to me. I write because I want to spread love and joy. I want you guys to be happy. Therefore, in that week, I will ensure that ReAwakened oozes love and joy!

I can’t wait to share the book with you! I’ve been sitting on the story and this part of Dawn’s journey for so long now, I’m excited for it to finally reach you all! The Beta feedback has been great and my hardworking tyrant…oops, I mean, my amazing editor (he truly is amazing beyond words!) has put his heart and soul into helping ReAwakened reach its full potential. Overall, I feel that this book is a step up from ReVamped in every sense of the word. As I’ve said before, ReVamped was my tiny, little baby. ReAwakened, on the other hand, is its older, hormonal, teen sibling. The story challenges the characters to grow and mature and evolve to new levels. It also has more layers. And, it’s moodier. In a good way. I can’t wait to share it!

In lieu of Thanksgiving, I want to share that I am so very thankful for you, Dear Readers. Each and every one of you. I’m thankful for the love and support that you’ve given me and my work. Every email, every little Tweet or Facebook comment, every blog post about the series – it means the world!

I’m going to try to organize some very fun stuff for the release week/month as a little “thank you”. We have a Blog Tour going on from November 20th-December 20th, there’s talk of yummy giveaways – print books, posters, bookmarks, character swag, and a very, very special “your name in my book” contest that will be announced in December. Also, I can’t wait to tell you the title of the third book in the Angel Creek series!

I also filmed some vlogs about Dawn and the gang. I haven’t posted any yet…I’m better at writing than at talking, because I can edit my writing! My talking, on the other hand…;) Regardless, I will persevere and start that channel for you guys! If you’d like to see any topics about the books or my writing addressed in vlog format, please let me know in a comments below.

There’s also a possibility/probability of a website/blog redo with way more information - important information at that…like the fact that I have a slight obsession with sparkles and My Little Ponies (the usual five-year-old bio stuff) and information about how to join Team Misfits. I know some of you have been wondering what the team is all about!

I also have plans to talk to libraries, bookstores, etc. about getting print copies of the novels in your hands. I constantly get asked where readers around the world can pick up print copies, and, right now, Amazon is the only way to go. I know that shipping is crazy expensive, so by 2013, I have high hopes that there will be an easier way for you guys to obtain physical books. If you know any way to help make this happen – or know people who may be able to help  - please let me know. I would love to be able to do this for you!

I hope that you’re excited about the release of ReAwakened! I sure am! If you’d like to help spread the love, it would be amazing if you could let some friends know about the release by doing a blitz post on Facebook, Twitter, Blogs, etc. on November 27th. I’m thinking about creating some fun giveaways (and/or challenges) if the book climbs to a certain rank. As in, you receiving pretty prizes or get to make me do something embarrassing (but entertaining), hehe. Think about it, and we’ll talk.
