I was sitting on the floor of Heffers Bookshop today in Cambridge, reading Learning to Curse, when a book called Sweet Violence fell (or leapt) off the shelf and hit me on the head.

As I had recently mentioned this book on Goodreads as one I wanted to read, I did feel that the book and I were destined to get in touch.
