Currently reading

I usually don't use the site's tag about books I'm currently reading because (1) I generally read books pretty quickly, and (2) I am grammatically offended by that hyphen. Note to goodreads: you don't need it. It's wrong. The meaning is completely clear without it.

Okay, I'm a hyphen freak, but as a professional editor, I kind of have to be.

However, I am using this tag now because I'm reading REAMDE by Neal Stephenson. Fortunately on a Kindle. Or maybe unfortunately as my biceps could use work.

The last time I tried a Neal Stephenson book I kept interrupting it to read other books and ultimately got a very patchwork view of the book. I think. (CRyPTONOMICON). So this time: no diversions into sex&shopping novels or lighthearted murders.

Debbie Hi Suzanne,
You liked one of my reviews so I came to see who you were. Thanks for the "like".

I know what you mean about the hyphens. I don't like them either nor that they are used to replace apostrophes. So I get children-s-books. AAARRRGGGHHH!!!
