As a rookie self-published author I depend on positive reviews and word of mouth to sell my books. That’s why I ♥ book bloggers and you should too!

As I mentioned in my last blog post, I’m stopping at a few book blogs during September on a blog tour. I wanted to share a list of reviews that have been posted so far.

With that out of the way, I want to let you know about my review philosophy. I am a strictly hands-off author. I offer a free electronic version of my book to those who asked for it. Beyond that, I’ve had no contact with them, except to thank them for their time and post after the review has been posted. I genuinely believe in honest reviews—thankfully, I’ve written a book that’s good enough to speak for itself.

Now, for book 2, which is coming out in December, I would be happy to send ARCs to these and any other book blogger who ask for it. And I’d be happy to share teasers and generally be available to them because part of the fun of being an author is talking to fans.

To be blunt, I’d rather have candid feedback than false praise because it’s the candid feedback that will make me a better author. And better authors write better books, which in turn helps them sell more books. At least that’s my theory.
