One of the myriad of reasons that I wrote Gatekeeper was that I am personally very concerned that the vast majority of people who use computers every day in their normal working lives or in the personal dealings have no idea how easy it is for a less than scrupulous individual or corporation to access our personal information.
It's all very well that we are assured by the powers that be that no personal information is being used for nefarious purposes. They are rather missing the point. Having worked for over 30 years in the IT industry - it's all too easy.Mike Smart
