Bad guys VS Bad, bad guys.

Okay, this has been bugging me for a while now. I want to talk about the bad guys, whether it’s a book,movie,tv show, comic or whatever, there is mostly always a bad guy of some sort. Especially with romances with a love triangle, and let’s be honest, most of us want the girl to ditch the good guy and go for the bad. Am I wrong? Maybe.

The point is, there are two types of bad guys;

The good bad guy, he’s the one that normally does terrible things but sort of equals it out by doing some good things and sometimes, he’ll show his true feelings or the one part of his life where he is vunerble (normally this involves a girl) but this just makes us love him, because he’s human and I guess a part of us recognises that he has some good in him afterall, but that’s a whiole other topic.

The bad, bad guy, he’s the one that is real bad and no matter how much you want him to have a heart, he just doesn’t. And even if he does happen to do something that’s maybe, a little bit good, he’s still a bad guy because he probably did it for his own benefit.

That’s the difference between them.

Which bring me to the whole point of this post.

Why, why, WHY, when there is a love triangle, does there always have to be a good guy and a bad guy? Why not two bad guys or two good guys to at least make it even?  This brings me back to the whole we mostly want the bad guy to win, and why? Well, because the writer will normally try to mix things up a little and for a short period of time, the bad guy will turn good and the good guy will turn bad and I HATE this. There are so many reasons I hate this but the main one is because it sucks. The good guy is always really sweet and attentive and lovely at the beginning but then when he turns bad, he’s just so horribly bad at it, but bad at it as in he’s not just bad, he’s bloody evil. The bad guy however starts out being charming, untouchable and those sarcastic/witty one liners, answers are freaking hilarious oh and he just happens to be about 500 times hotter, but when he turns good, he’s even better and way more swoon worthy than the good guy but, be hoonest you miss him being the bad guy just because he was so good at it!

This is why we want the bad guy to win, because even if he’s done and will probably do some pretty terrible things, you already know this and you know what to expect and you’ve probably already seen him at his worst, wouldn’t you rather be with the guy you know? The one you fell in love with despite him being a little bad?

Or maybe you’d rather fall for the good guy and then be completely suprised when one day you come home from work or whatever to find out he’s killed your parents but kept their heads for you. (Or something just as evil,).

Okay, rant over.

I know none of this makes any sense and there really isn’t actually any point to this post but I had to put it out there…

Until next time…
