Hey, everyone! It's time for DABWAHA (The "Dear Author Bitchery Writing Award for Hella Authors" run every year by Dear Author and Smart B*tches, Trashy Books and named by Sarah from Smart B*tches) (who is apparently never allowed to name anything ever again....)
For those of you unfamiliar with DABWAHA, it's the March Madness of Romantic Novels, complete with brackets, bribery, and trash-talking: 64 books go in, 1 comes out, and it's all hugely fun.
This is NOT one of those serious award competitions, though there are some awesome prizes to be won for the readers who play. But you will NOT hurt my feelings in the least if you don't vote for/champion/otherwise assist my book, The Firebird, in this year's Tournament.
Having said that, the organizers have pitted me against The Rosie Project in the first round--a book that has Just A Few fans (!), so if you DO want to help keep The Firebird from going down in flames right in the first round (or at least help it lose with some Dignity :-) all votes are certainly appreciated.
The polls are open now, and will stay open till noon Central Standard Time today (March 20th), and anyone can vote. You can just go here:
http://dabwaha.com/ and vote for whatever book you want to.
(Or not).
