Flattering words

"When you hear 'crime novel', you think you know what to expect. When you hear love story, you might believe you know the outcome. Yet, in Jan-Philipp Sendker's astonishing new novel, set against the seamy backdrop of modern day china, he melds the two to create something so original, thrilling and moving about the things we want, and what we are prepared to do to get them. A murder story was never so ravishing."
-Caroline Leavitt, New York Times bestselling author of 'Is This Tomorrow' and 'Pictures Of You'

I just received this wonderful blurb from Ms. Leavitt a few days ago. I thank her so much for the kind words and hope that readers in the US will share her opinion.
