Bunker 13

The survivors endured four brutal months since the nuclear war wiped out almost everyone and everything on the surface. They were fortunate enough to be underground when the war began and smart enough to stay there. Lauren believed it wasn't fate or divine predestination that kept her alive. She simply got lucky and those who were trapped outside and evaporated in the searing heat were just unlucky. The question on her mind was what to do with her life. Living just for the sake of surviving isn't much life at all.

Dark hair longer than military regulations allowed flowed down her shoulders. Being an elite team member meant certain freedoms and rules that could be bent. She was about to completely break one of the more serious rules and personal codes among soldiers: Don't sleep with your superiors. Normally she would never consider it but the end of the world pretty much changed everything. Six months with no sex and her boyfriend off-base was surely dead. There was no promise that tomorrow would ever come and she didn't want to die feeling so horrible. Maybe to feel a man's touch again would help her forget some of the pain. Only one way to find out.
