Also a Tough Day.....
Today is also a tough day ad a friend of mine from Twitter has cancer and is dying. She had given us all a look into her world through her website http://www.tracylynnp.com/
It has spread to her brain and her time on earth is counted in hours and days now. I wrote an answer to her Ramblings blog. The above picture is from her site.

Time slips by unnoticed.
We think it will last forever but as many songs tell us,
We look over our shoulder at what has been
And it measures too short.
We believe our future is just on the horizon.
Our death a long journey in coming
Until we are touched by the fates
And our heartbeats are measured in handfuls.
We are told that we see our lives unfold in front of us
When we pass through a tunnel to light,
Most of us want a chance to say goodbye and I Love You,
Before that trip is commenced.
There are so many words and deeds that fill our buckets
Snow to see and goals to reach before we pass
But I ask over and over again,
Why we have to pay for these precious moments in pain?
My heart knows the answer.
We trade moments of loving looks into eyes,
For what ever it takes to extend
A knowing touch on the warm cheek of a dear one.
Those that slip out of reach too quickly
Leave loved ones who seem lost to any sense of preparing
Shock reigns over the heart of one left behind with no words
All goodbyes left unsaid.
So how do we rationalize the pain of one we love?
A payment of the time left to kiss our soul-mates one last time
And hug the head of a dear pet,
And hold the hand of family member.
And pray that God realizes when full payment has been made
And the soul is ready to go
That he cradles our friend and loved one in his warm hands
And gently carries her to his home.
