Thank you as well, Isis. Book fairs are mostly for promotional purposes. They usually result in some book sales (often not enough to pay for the table space and travel costs!) but more importantly serve to let me meet potential readers. While there, I pass out a lot of business card sized promotions for my book, and a good number of them have resulted in later sales, both Kindle and paperback formats.

Hi Scott! Thanks for the feedback and sharing your experience! I've never been to a book fair, to be honest, somehow I always end up missing them! But seems very similar to art/comic cons. So by what you're telling, it is more like an opportunity to meet and greet and market yourself as author. Nice to know you met potential readers and had some sales after the event :)
