I had a great time this past weekend as a member of a Politicon panel about comedy and politics, hosted by the wonderful Elizabeth Plank (that’s her in the center). Next to me on the right is the razor-sharp Lizz Winstead, the co-creator of the Daily Show. Next to Elizabeth is fantastic actor and comedian Arturo Castro (Broad City, Alternatino, a new movie by Ang Lee). If you ever meet him, ask him about his “How Many Panchos?” method for determining how much of an accent the casting directors are expecting from him. Next to Arturo is the brilliantly funny Aparna Nancherla, whose standup you have to watch. I felt very lucky to be up there with them and to get the chance to hang out.
