Foundations of Healing is launching a new initiative. We are starting a trust fund in support of pre-service teachers in order to provide aid to those who wish to become teachers are encountering financial challenges in their pursuit of their goal. Candidates must qualify under three criteria; need, academic performance, and a commitment to incorporating character building into their curriculum. Our hope is to expand the influence of the foundations of healing as set forth in the book series Foundations of Discord to Foundations of Healing. We believe that supporting new teachers who embrace the behaviors and character traits of healthy communication, generosity, gratitude, forgiveness, and passion and wish to make them a part of the curriculum in their classroom. Children today need so much more than just academic support, they need character support in a high quality nurturing, supportive environment wherein their needs as students as well as their needs as people and citizens of a community.
