So Long, 2015! Hello, 2016!

2015, ooooooh, 2015. You were both nightmare fuel and a pastel daydream for me. Adieu. Go away now.

Over the past few days, I've read blog posts written by friends and chatted on the phone with family about this past year.We all seem to agree that it was a challenge. And by "challenge," I mean soul-shattering, life-changing, #toomanyfeels.

My lovely writer friends wrote amazing blog posts.I can't possibly be as eloquently rallying as Sam or as bravely honest as Lydiaor as bittersweet and hop...

Joni Patterson The change of numbers in the calendar year have seemed to creep up on me... 2016... 2016!!! I wish the switch had shaken me up more, maybe given me a mysterious boost of energy. But to be honest I just feel like I'm slogging on, pressing forward, keeping on keeping on. No star-streak light speed burst through hyperspace. No jolt of magical ability and enthusiasm. But the Trying continues and I'm keeping faith that something will come of it. ^^
Things I'm looking forward to this year? The "Little Prince" and "Fantastic Beasts" movies. More drawing. More writing. More reading- especially a certain book that releases on May 17th!!! yaaaaahhhhhaaahhhh!!!!
Also- your "shifty eyes" at the end of this post are such a tease. You're killing me, Kimberly.

Hi Joni! HAPPY 2016! The Trying is the most important part. It's what keeps you going. I think everyone experiences the new year in different ways. I mean, I was at home, watching the Syfy Twlight Zone marathon and nursing a pulled muscle, so I wouldn't say I was throwing confetti when the year changed. BUT I have been looking forward to it. Can't wait to see what this year brings.

YESSSS I'm SO excited about those movies! Fantastic Beasts looks great on so many levels. Plus, it'll be nice to see some Hufflepuff love. And THE LITTLE PRINCE BE STILL MY HEART. That book means to much to me. I'll be crying in the theater, for sure.

Yaaaayyaayayayayay! I can't wait for the sequel to come out! and that other surprise, yessss, the shifty eyes. You'll find about THAT very soon, I promise. Hang in there!

And thank you for the comment!

I, too, was at home New Years Eve enjoying a marathon! Except I was (re)watching Downton Abbey S5. Though, I have to admit, I was lame and fell asleep before midnight chimed in... heh heh...

Guess I'm out of the loop when it comes to what all is in Fantastic Beasts. I had no idea there would be more about Hufflepuff!!! That's my house, actually. (Go Badgers!)
And tears are indeed expected for Little Prince, because that trailer alone had me in puddles!

Thanks for the encouraging words and for replying! ^^

If I wasn't reading Star Wars TFA fan fiction while watching, I'd never have stayed up until 12, haha. So I totally understand. 2015 was exhausting, and no amount of celebration can change that :P

I don't know too much more - I saw an article with a ton of pictures (the coats! the coats are gorgeous on all the actors!) and the trailer. Which reveals very little, by hey. The author of Fantastic Beats and Where to Find Them, the MC of the film, is a Hufflepuff.

GOOO BADGERS! Same here! House pride! I'm expecting more Hufflepuff gear after the movie comes out.

Yesss tears. You know that part where the fox speaks in the trailer? THAT is literally giving my shivers right now, as I type. OMG. Maybe we should hold hands across the internet for support when we see it ;_;

You're very welcome! It means a lot to me that you read my blog post and it's ALWAYS good to hear from you :)

Star Wars fan fiction- what fun! I could definitely go for living in the world of episode VII a while longer...

The Fantastic Beasts trailer was small (so many sweeping views of the title) but just the little views of period clothing and Mr Eddie Redmayne was of course plenty to get one excited.

And Little Prince's animation LOOKS so pretty... I'm thinking a theater viewing is a must.

How lovely it always is to find fellow fans to share the feels with. ^^
