Tamlin isn't the villain. He's just a tool. But I get that it makes the first book weird coz she literally died for him
True, and he did not handle things with her very well but I don't think it warranted pure hatred. She lusted for his death, contemplated slitting his throat even after learning he had nothing to do with her sisters/the King. He's the one that took care of her family without even her asking. Then after turning his court against him, he still gave himself up to save her and then later saved Rhy's life and all he got was a thank you note.
Don't get me wrong, I still loved the series, but I had to rewrite some of it to make me okay with it all.
Feyfe was in love with Tamlin. When he treated her badly those feelings towards him turned to hate. Realistically that doesn't happen that way.
