Claire is not tough and tenacious , she's a mean brat. DG obviously has rape fantasies and has written about them because she likes the idea. A lot of people get rapped, Claire, Jamie, and even Lord John. The TV series, of which I've watched only snippets, is just as annoying to me. I've never been able to sit through an episode. Outlander simply reminds me of a tedious old time romance novel. If you like that sort of thing, enjoy.
