well i vguess he is like that sometimes but still ya gotta admit that if you were in his shoos you would have a few minor issues with trust
Hi, you must've been mistaken and read the wrong book because everything you just said isn't true. I have to disagree with you.
Here's why,
Auggie... is not.. the villain. If he is, then where does that place Julian? Is he the protagonist in your opinion?
Auggie does 'hog the attention' in the beginning of the book, because that's all he ever knew, mainly because that's how Isabel treated him growing up. Isabel treated him like he was about to break, but as Auggie grew up, and stopped 'hogging attention', Isabel saw that she too should stop and let Auggie grow. As Auggie made friends, Isabel saw that Auggie is 10 years old, not a year old. He cries, yes, but doesn't everyone? He cries because he doesn't want to go to school, BOOM he's manipulative. He cries because he overheard Jack, who he thought was his friend, saying how he would kill himself if he were Auggie. Honestly, did you just read horrible reviews??
Where on Earth did you come up with Via 'becoming depressed because nobody pays attention to her'? Via does not 'grow depressed', in fact Palacio says in Vias chapter, and I quote, "I'm used to the way this universe works. I've never minded it because it's all i've ever known" How is that depressed?
You said nobody pays attention to Via. Did you even read the Our Town chapter? Did you at least watch the movie? Isabel literally points to Via saying that Isabel sees her.
Even more in the book Via meets Justin, reconcile her friendship with Miranda, and bonds with Isabel. How is she 'depressed' if she has a good family, relationship, and a strong friendship? You obviously didn't read this book. Also, Auggie isn't a girl!
