I think "perve" might be a bit subjective? The version I read was redacted to a degree and I've not read the uncensored version. I'm generally pretty much against censorship in all its forms but obviously material has to be age (mental, not physical) and emotionally appropriate. As such a label of any description is likely to create prejudice and instead we shuld all perhaps agree that this book has adult content and themes, at least at a superficial level, which may be difficult to grasp for younger readers?
Maybe an age limit is not needed. Everyone matures and develops a sense of the world around them at their own pace. I read it when I was 17 and still grasped the concept of sex being something more than that of a mere human function.
