Harold Kasselman Nice compelling argument Saul. I'd like to see a sequel since Mike will be coaching and henry back for another year.

Maite I'd love to read that one! I ended up caring quite a lot for them.

Harold Kasselman I did as well

Greg That quote blew me away. "...if you were Henry and you needed Mike you were simply screwed." I think there are a lot of Mike/Henry non-sexual relationships.

Harold Kasselman Okay that makes sense to me Greg and I agree. I'd love to read another by Harbach

Greg Harold, I'd love also to read another book by Harbach, looking forward to it! As far as a sequel to 'fielding', do you see good things in the future for Mike and Henry, or not-so-good things?

message 7: by Harold (new)

Harold Kasselman I wish I could get in Harbach's head and find out but I think the codependency spells trouble.

message 8: by Greg (new)

Greg Harold, yes, agree, trouble ahead. But I think there are a lot of Mike/Henry relationships in the real world that keep going and going cause people need them.

Greg But I do appreciate the way Harbach presented Owen and his early "lover" as just another plain ol' relationship that everyone in the college simply accepted, then went on with the Mike/Henry complications.
