Congratulations! That sounds cute. Nephew 2 would have loved that when he was younger. He wanted to be a "bug doctor."

I am passionate about our natural world and connecting the young and young at heart to the wonders of Nature. "A Bug-Lightful Discovery" was born from this passion and a brief interaction with my neighbor's seven-year-old granddaughter and big alien-looking beetle that landed on my porch. After seeing her reaction to this bug, I knew this was a message worth teaching to children everywhere. What is the message? 'Everything' has a purpose whether we know it or not.....even bugs!
The last page of the book is used as a teaching moment on "Why Bugs are Good" and how to safely remove them from our homes or cabins. So far, I am happy to say several young at heart people have told me they now do what they can to save a bug!!! This makes me very happy! 😊
