hey! i just finished my first 'dark romance' that i've ever read and tbh, it wasn't my cup of tea. i've been trying to find something else to read, but nothing is catching my attention. if anyone has any books of any genre that they could recommend, that would be amazing! i'm trying to expand what i'm reading and not just focus on romance/romantasy lol.

Oh, so the dark romance was basically the literary equivalent of that "nope" emoji? Fair enough. 🤦‍♀️ Alright, let's throw you a lifeline here.

How about The Silent Patient? It’s basically like playing mental chess with a psychological thriller, and trust me, you’ll be so hooked.

You could try John Green, his books are really heartfelt, and The Fault in Our Stars is a classic. But if you’re open to something a bit different, you could try Looking for Alaska – it’s a bit more introspective.

one of the easiest reads EVER, and honestly a book so many have loved (even non thriller readers) is the Housemaid by Freida McFadden. 5 ⭐️

another series that people tend to love is AGGGTM (A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder). they also made a show on that series so you can watch after! it’s got thriller, mystery and some lighthearted relationship components to it, another 5 ⭐️

A cute romance book that’s isn’t smutty is The Upside of Falling by Alex Light

Full disclosure, this is my book Throne Off Course: A Royal RomCom Enemies to Lovers Romance. Of course, I am completely biased but I happen to think it is hilarious. It is a fairly light book but there is some political/family drama as well.
