Okay... I also gave strong consideration to (in chronological order) Plato, Shakespeare, Richard Burton, Hermann Weyl and Richard Feynman. If Russell's not available, I'll more than happy to take any of those.

Whether or not a history play counts as fiction is debatable...but if you chose e.g. Tolkien there'd be no ambiguity.
