M.N. Cox This is an interesting topic and I totally understand your point of view. I don't like being negative about books, either - as a reader. So I'm often torn: Just because I don't like a book, doesn't mean that other readers won't love it. :/

I occasionally write negatively, and I often say why it was that I DNF-ed…BUT one of my most used phrases is 'this just wasn't for me' (or along those lines).

PS No pressure but you’re right, I notice your reviews and stars - so yeah, we are out here taking you seriously :P

Paul Readers should feel free to have it. I just feel weird writing negative reviews of a colleague, you know? Anyway, don't worry, there are plenty of books I don't like and DNF. ;)
