My wife -- born in Colombia, emigrated to Venezuela, emigrated to Brazil, emigrated to Spain, emigrated to Mexico, and finally emigrated to the US...to end up in a gringo house where something like 'le llenaron la barriga de huesos' represents an impenetrable mystery. Things go unsaid and everyone translates silence.
