Thanks for the response! I think you could put yourself in a story without you suing yourself, although I don’t know you. Maybe you would sue yourself. Anyway, I ask the question without true sincerity. I know it’s something writers are asked. To me it’s a testament to how well you’re writing the character, and not what you’ve done wrong. That and he’s your debut’s character, and he shares your (pen)name. I do think there’s a little bit of the author in every character, though. It’s inevitable. It’s a matter of how much. Maybe the better question is: how much of you is in David, John, Amy or any of them? That’s hard to quantify.
