Debra Hillyard I have read all of his books and I would say that whenever swearing occurs, it is a necessary part of the dialogue. I don't know which ones are referred to but ALL the characters, really?

Joanne ‘We choose to be entertained by offensive acts, but want it to happen without offensive words.’ That’s why you’re the author, Mr. Barclay! Well said. In this current world, if it’s swear words in a fictional novel that make you cringe, I wish you well navigating through life. The language I hear walking past my local grade school is far worse than in Mr. Barclay’s novels. When folks are being murdered for their beliefs... in real life...4 year olds are accessing porn on their iPads, I can buy crystal meth in my upscale suburban neighbourhood, lying has become commonplace, and people jump to conclusions based on zero facts (see your question), the arrangement of four letters in a word in an adult novel seems to be an odd place for your indignation.

Gildas Haha, we're dreaming of some kind of gentlemen killers, criminals doing their madness with art and poetry. Is it what you mean Wendy?

Unsolved ☕︎ Mystery Keep the murders and violence, but leave out the swear words!
