Well there a few potential answers that I would want. Each suggests a different foreshadowing of events to come. I fully recognize that you probably wrote it vague so people could derive their own conclusions. So, if there is no direct answer to my question I understand. Thank you for taking the time to respond. I look forward to reading the next book when you are finished.
Given the way Eric thinks, we may never know for sure. But we may be able to make some guesses based on how events unfold!
