a v a Jennifer Nielsen's MARK OF THE THIEF trilogy has a main character that's similar to Sage! It's about ancient Rome and is very interesting! THE SCOURGE is great too!

Issabelle Perry Ooooo YES!!! I've heard lots of great things about Mark of the Thief and that the main character was similar to Sage. I think Nielsen really enjoys writing about sassy characters. XD YES IT IS!!!

Leiana Day I have read Ranger's Apprentice; it has better worldbuilding and better characters *on average* overall (because aside from Sage all TFP's characters are so-so) but there is no characters I loved at first sight like Sage. Still very much worth reading, though there is some mild swearing that really wasn't necessary (h*ll and d*mn) in a few of the middle books.

Issabelle Perry You're very welcome!!!!! Yaaaay!!!!
Aaah okay, that's awesome to know!!! Ranger's Apprentice has been on my TBR for a looong time! Aw, man, that's sad it has some mild swearing. *pouts* Dunno why authors feel the need to include that stuff. Like it doesn't change the story at all if you just leave it out! Thank you for the heads up!!!!
