Annabel Lee I'm surprised! If I was a famous author, I would read/watch everything fans do with my characters, but that's just me lol

Alex legally they can't i'm pretty sure

message 3: by Stacy (new)

Stacy Yeah, reading fanfiction of your work tends to create issues legally if I understand correctly. Moreso if you plan to continue in that world

Annabel Lee @Stacy Hmm I had no idea...

message 5: by Ray (new)

Ray You should do a book where all of the main characters from each series meet each other or something. It would be amazing, and nearly everyone would love it. They could meet and teach other cultures' their magic or something.

Write or Lose @Annabel Lee Basically when you see something in a fanfic you read, you cannot use it because you can end up in court. Even if you came up with it before, it's hard to prove that, but it's easier to prove you haven't read fanic at all, I guess. John Michael Straczynski said the same about people sending him pitches about Babylon 5 universe. If you tell him an idea, he will never use it because it could get him in court.
