I don't find a dragonfly in "Knot of Shadows", and I don't think Penric gets bitten by anything in that story, although I could be wrong. You're probably thinking of the blue horsefly in "The Physicians of Vilnoc". It's an amusing thought, anyway.
I was thinking of the blue fly too. But the "blue dragonfly" caught my attention because I've used a blue dragonfly as a symbol on my YouTube videos. Dragonfly Mage Ambience. ^^; /random
I checked, Penric is not bitten by any insect at all in "Knot of Shadows". The incident is clearly the blue horsefly in "Physicians...." Penric does have theological speculations about it.
