Kathi Roisen Oh dear, you folks have not gone thru menopause. The state of my health, hormones, strength etc was immeasurably better when I was menstruating. Try not to think of it as a burden....it doesn't have to do with fertility, wanting children or not. It's an issue of robustness and health. Not to say we can't age and go thru menopause in good health, BUT you have to work much much harder for it. And if you are neglecting your health now, while you still have a period, you will find the consequences more severe later post-menopause.

Sally I totally with you Kathi. At least with menstruation you know how long it'll be. With menopause, it's never-ending for years!! :(
