And "The Giant Rat of Sumatra"! A real thing, I learned some years ago, when I found out that people now train them to find landmines.
I always assumed the throwaway line about the Incendiary Cat Plot was a joking reference by you to the US Army's disastrous Incendiary BAT Plan of World War II.
I can't post outside links, but there are many websites that discuss the "Bat Bombs".
