Here's a recommendation for Ross Thomas. I think he's terribly underrated.
I guess I have been on a world wars kick, I liked Life after Life, The Fall of Giants, and most recently Code Name Verity. I highly recommend Code Name Verity, by the way. So its fitting of you to write a book to go with my theme, haha. I loved Devil in the White City and Thunderstruck. Now thanks to this Goodreads question forum I know what book to read next!
