I'm so glad you were brought back to this story. It is my favorite of your books, and one of my all-time favorite books, period.
This was my first book by you too. I was so enamored with the era. I was boasting to my friends and family my knowledge of electricity and the Ferris Wheel and World's Fairs. I loved how you intertwined the serial killer with world at that time.
When I read In the Garden of Beasts, it was the same. I went on and on of my knowledge of pre-WWII, the presidents, and Hitler. I love both of those equally AND as both being two of my top favorites...
