Hi, sorry to amble into the middle of this, but did someone say bibliography? GG, you liked my Maggie review (thank you!) and I visited your page and lo and behold, you're an expert on Japanese lit, which is the project I'm doing right at this exact moment. I finished Snow Country this morning. I would love a link to your bibliographies, which I looked for on your site but didn't find. My reading list is sadly light on female authors, so I'm glad I stumbled across you!
Hello Alex,
Thank you for your comment and question! If you go to my website: www.gayerowley.com
and look at the Teaching page, you should find two bibliographies, one devoted to The Tale of Genji:
https://www.gayerowley.com/teaching/g...
and the other to Japanese women writers before 1900.
Happy reading!
Ah, thank you. But I see that it's comprehensive...would you care to point me at any one starting point? (If it's popular enough to be easily available, that would sadly be a bonus.)
In that case, do please have a look at my answer to Sanaz's question: https://www.goodreads.com/questions/6...
