The Chalion series could give Gane of Thrones a run for its money.
I seem to recall a LMB comment decades ago that some movie studio expressed interest in The Warrier's Apprentice, but she discovered the screen Miles would be changed beyond recognition, as well as the storyline, and so nixed the offer.
