Melanie Macek Heart-rending is an understatement. His death affected me the most. I had to put down the book and couldn't go back until days later.

Deanna Knight Your books have never been wallbangers, but that scene almost caused MOBY to fly. I read it a year ago and I'm still torn up about Henri-Christian.

Nicole I was on an airplane when I read that passage... it was really embarrassing to be crying hysterically in public. :)

Fern The hardest for me to get through also.

message 5: by Cara (new)

Cara i cried at that point too!

message 6: by Bridgette (new)

Bridgette IH, good grief, yes. I cried!!!

message 7: by Lorene (new)

Lorene Shaw Noooooo! I will never, ever, ever, EVER read another spoiler ever again!!!!! (This was my first ever. I thought I was caught up enough in the series to be safe. I blame my lack of clear-thinking on all the marshmallow fluff I just consumed...)

message 8: by Bridgette (new)

Bridgette Dear, poor Lorene...marshmallow fluff? Wicked how a sugar high can lead to such hasty decision making about reading possible spoilers!

message 9: by Marianne (new)

Marianne That was so heart wrenching!

message 10: by Lin (new)

Lin Cummings Henri-Christian was a special little boy. Anyone who could read that and not cry wasn' really into the books. But Old Ian's death did me in too, it just was'nt a surprise.
