Randall Smith The numbers are much higher. The Soviets are said to have committed 2,00,000 rapes in Germany alone. When you add in the rapes that occurred across Eastern Europe that is much more. American reportedly raped 11,000 German women. The rape scene itself is to neat and orderly. These girls were virgins. Why weren't they screaming and crying. The real accounts written by those who were raped speak of the screams and crying and begging by the victims. That they would just lie there calmly while their virginity was brutally taken from them seems unlikely. If you are going to put the scene in at all make it realistic. I am also offended that he tried to say there was some excuse for these crimes against humanity. These Soviets were not raping these children to avenge fallen comrades. If they were raping for revenge why did they rape thousands of their own women who were prisoners of the Nazis. They were plundering and raping any female even very young children and for no reason but lust.
