I am not surprised that you found an agent right away (or "very quickly") given the enthralling story you told, and the brilliant writing with which you told it-- but I am stunned that it took two years to find a publisher !!!! "Shadow" is such an extraordinary book, it really should not have taken "G of T" for publishers to recognize its quality, its fascination for anyone who loves historical fiction, and its relevance to all of us who like to read about strong women, for that matter. Persistence, indeed !
