Tony That's a great way to look at it! I thought it was a great adaption and they had an amazing cast.

Cindy (BKind2Books) The cast was super but the last season or so was inane. I understand not going strictly by the novels but they jumped the shark.

Bmquiram I have to say, I loved both the novels and television series. I was disappointed with the final season of True Blood. It seemed like the writers kind of went into the season thinking the who cares. They didn't stay true to the characters like Charlaine Harris did in the novels.

Rachel Loved most of the seasons (especially the Alan Ball episodes- that long scene where Sookie sat in the kitchen and ate her grandmother's last pecan pie after her funeral and started weeping while eating it). Not sure why they butchered the show in the last season. I couldn't believe the final episode! Was sure it was going to be a dream sequence or something right up until the end credits. Writers on that episode were disgraceful.

Lynne Macdonald I would agree with Ms. Harris I would love them if I were her since it did draw attention to her and the books but as for the series. Well I was threw when the 2nd series was all about the Maenad. Then the distortion of the fae. To me the TV series was a bit too way out there for me. It was entertainment but I did not care for it at all. I love the books and CH other stories too. The Aurora Teagarden Hallmark version is a bit better but I like the books better. To me the adaptation of the Aurora teagarden books were a bit better. Just my opinion.
