Courtney Do you think it was because you were kind of biased (for want of a better word), since it was your work? That you thought that your work wasn't good enough to interest anybody? That is how I have been feeling about my books lately.
I apologie if any of this offends you, as I meant none.
Your Incarnate series was really engaging though.

Jodi Meadows I thought I was ready to be published. I truly believed this when I was, say, 23 years old. But I was not ready -- not at all. Those rejections ended up being good for me because they forced me to keep writing, keep learning, keep reaching. If I'd been published with my fourth or fifth novel, I might have gotten lazy. Or maybe not. Either way, waiting let me know I had a lot of work to do. It taught me a lot. I'd never take it back.
