It just exciting to think that there might be more piper and ash in the future!!!! Keeping my fingers crossed on this
As a more mature reader (44 next birthday) I love the fact that Piper's path diverges from Ash's. It gives a different kind of example from the normal Cinderella/Snow White stories: sometimes the girl can enjoy her own life and success without a Prince Charming cramping her style. It would have meant that one of them had to compromise, and it is a much better ending because although they are a serious couple, they aren't 'together'.
