Andrew between you and me, Dana, I hope you come up with a catchier title ... since the last book ended with a cliffhanger, I KNEW you wouldn't let us down.

Betty Kate is one of my all-time favourite characters. I have a bunch of books in my shelves that I will never part with. I loved those books so much, I drove my grandmother, alzheimers and all, from Vancouver, BC to the Yukon where she lived from 1900-1907 until everyone got typhoid (Grandma, a sister and brother. They all survived, the sister was just a baby.) We drove from Dawson via Top of the World highway, down past Chicken, AK, across from Tok to Fairbanks, to Anchorage and across the bottom. I loved every minute but wish we could have gone farther north and west. She was 87, but everything from the past became clear as a bell in her memory. It was like travelling in a time-machine with her.
