Thanks for your reply. I certainly don't agree with murder (or premarital sex, for that matter) but I know they exist in society. Most of the time when GD is used, it isn't asking for someone to be damned and I believe in the 10 commandments so I prefer not to entertain myself with books that carelessly use the name of God or Jesus Christ. I know many people are not bothered by that but I also know many people who don't use the name of deity disrespectfully. Anyway, I think I would really enjoy your imagination.
I totally get your point. Murder and sex do happen in society. So does naughty language. But I completely respect your preference to avoid it. I imagine the second book has it, as well. I will tell you that my Texas Brand series and anything else I've written for Harlequin or Hq MIRA won't have any GDs or JCs in them. They wouldn't let me. Fairytale was the first book I wrote for a publisher who didn't have that gag order in place, which is probably why it occurs more than might be necessary to the plot. I was off the chain, so to speak. Next time I revise those stories, (I re-read and tweak periodically for quality control) I intend to take a very critical look at the language and make sure I only used what was necessary to the character and situation in each case. I appreciate your input.
