I learn something new almost every day, much of from my elementary school students.
I wish very much I could encounter my elementary school teachers again as an adult -- alas, most are deceased. I've spend a lot of time (probably far too much) as an adult, trying to reflect upon them as human beings, rather than teachers,...but I suppose if I'd known then what I know now, I'd have been an impossible third grader, rather than merely a challenging one.
You must have had a challenging 3rd-grade teacher. For me, it was my 6th-grade teacher. btw, I passed your book to someone in my book club today.
Thanks you for passing along my book. If you're within a 6 - hour drive of NY, I'm always glad to come talk to a book group, if they're ever interested. Jacob
