Richard Derus Much has changed in the interim, happily. I can certainly visualize the characters w/current-day actors' faces. The climate in entertainment is so SF-friendly it's a surprise to me you're not besieged w/offers for such an internationally beloved series. May that change, said the fan.

Mark & Beth Stories that rely on inner dialogue, or extensive explanation, don't work well even in long-form miniseries, let alone a 90 minute movie. I suspect the stores are probably TOO intelligent for easy adaptation.

Jonathan Palfrey I think the Harry Potter stories were relatively well adapted to film, because Rowling had sold so many books that she couldn't be pushed around. I suppose not many authors are in that position.

There's also the recent production of "Good Omens" as a 6-part series for Amazon Prime, which I think was pretty good, because one of the authors was in charge of it! Again, not many authors are going to find themselves in that position, and not all may have the skills to succeed in that position.

Christi Bell I've always thought that the Vorkosigan saga would translate well to anime. Every time I watch a space saga done via anime, I think hungrily of the Vorkosigan saga, and I can see it very well. Anime handles internal dialogue fairly well, which would be tragic to leave out, and also manages space sequences very well. I think if you could find the right studio they would do it justice.
