I am ridiculously upset by how some of the characters look. I could totally be wrong, but wasn't Manny described as having platinum hair and a face full of piercings, not just a few loops in his ears? And I loved that Fiji was more of a full figured woman, not the usual stick lady that's popular. Maybe all of this was too edgy to do? I'm still going to watch it, because I love those books, in some ways a lot more than the Sookie Stackhouse novels, but I can't shake this feeling of disappointment. Maybe that's to be expected when a favorite book gets a screen adaptation (i.e. Percy Jackson).
