Lize Alberts With all due respect, I feel like you’re dodging the question out of humbleness.
Of course outside of your specific talent/skill, you’d be average. Very view people have multiple talents, I said ‘certain amount of power’ because although it might be limited, I find the talents you do have very powerful. It seems that you have this combination of empathy, logic, creativity and insight, with a hint of idealism, giving you the ability to explain complicated and often depressing things in simple and hilariously blunt, yet hopeful terms. And for that I have a great deal of respect for you and tell everyone you are my favourite writer.

I get that you were lucky to get some outlet for your thoughts, but I don’t care about the fact that you’ve gotten famous, I admire the thoughts. I can imagine that said fame might make you feel some sense of obligation to do whatever you can from your honoured position and to not act all self-absorbed about it, but my question isn’t whether you’ve always thought you’d be famous, but if you’ve felt that your unique perspective on things could be used to make some difference in the world one day, regardless if anyone else knew at the time. I was just curious about what drives you – some innate pursuit of helping others, or have you genuinely never thought that you have something special to offer the world? Because that would be kind of sad, you should know how cool you are. Your thoughts have definitely changed my life, at least.
