Gwen your reading group will really enjoy The Sandcastle Girls. We read this at bookclub last year. The book is rich in detail. Our ethnically diverse group shared many personal insights that emerged from their reading. There will be lots to talk about! Enjoy.
Hi Gwen - We read Sandcastle Girls with my book club here in The Woodlands a couple years ago. I found a lot of interesting info about that era on the internet, including personal stories of survivors and their descendants. We ended up having a great discussion. Have fun!
