I love those darkly alpha, Carpathians males, but...being the lifemate, of one of them--if it was for real--well...the thought of that... would... scare me half to death. at least it's not like that crazy 50 Shades of Grey, and its clones, or the even crazier Erotica.
A question to Melissa: You don't mean the HEROES, do you? Because you won't find any heroes in any series written by Christine, who will fit your question. Trust me.
I think in some cases the readers may have experienced or observed questionable behavior by males, in their lives. If something like that has occurred then seeing different behavior by a different species, may bother or disturb them.
They have to have a dark side as there is no light in their lives. I enjoy watching the color and laughter return to their lives. Love this series just as I love them all.
